Victoriano Millar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miquel Waiben read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Excurses Team's goalkeeper Miquel Waiben, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Compi got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Borja. Ervigio Borges, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ervigio Borges hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Miquel Waiben showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Millar in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Arnoldo Oliva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Excurses Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Oliva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Dumont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victoriano Millar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Compi's Joel Dumont proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Compi from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Compi's Eduardo Trincado got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victoriano Millar was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Compi got a corner. Excurses Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eduardo Trincado ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 56th minute Máximo Astorga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Dumont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victoriano Millar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miquel Waiben showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bayron Hormann, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Felipe Subercaseaux during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Excurses Team's Miquel Waiben proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Excurses Team from getting a goal against them. Odilón Dick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miquel Waiben having to interfere. But to his dismay, Victoriano Millar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Compi's Odilón Dick got a free kick in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Compi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
