José Alberto Brieba lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 12th minute, one of EL CHIVO F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for EL CHIVO F.C.. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Blanquillo AFC. Darien Epulef stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlo Enríquez. 0-1. Eulalio Mitrovich's late challenge caught a EL CHIVO F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Mitrovich helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of EL CHIVO F.C. booed when Blanquillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Mitrovich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Mitrovich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carlo Enríquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laureano Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amancio Noriega hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Héctor David Chirinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Fortunato Tocornal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blanquillo AFC's Fortunato Tocornal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laureano Tinoco in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Blanquillo AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Mitrovich made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Héctor David Chirinos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL CHIVO F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Héctor David Chirinos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eulalio Mitrovich struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Carlo Enríquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blanquillo AFC. Laureano Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Darien Epulef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Enríquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Laureano Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darien Epulef in the 71st minute of play forced EL CHIVO F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlo Enríquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortunato Tocornal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortunato Tocornal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor David Chirinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eulalio Mitrovich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Carlo Enríquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Marco kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Blanquillo AFC's Fortunato Tocornal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor David Chirinos in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Blanquillo AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
