An unexpectedly hard shot by Eufemio Hesler in the 16th minute of play forced Atlético Norte's goalkeeper Matteo Soriano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Celino Victoriano came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Atlético Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celino Victoriano couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Atlético Norte's Matteo Soriano got control of the ball when Salvador Droste tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Droste in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matteo Soriano saved Atlético Norte from getting behind. 46 minutes into the game, Juan Estevan Chaparro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Norte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antofazul FC the free kick. A collision led to Atlético Norte getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Juan Estevan Chaparro hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Droste to strike the kick off in the second half. Celino Victoriano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grueso Artaza having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Salvador Droste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matteo Soriano was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Matteo Soriano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eufemio Hesler in the 59th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Eufemio Hesler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matteo Soriano. Atlético Norte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eufemio Hesler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Matteo Soriano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúlo Nicoletti in the 63rd minute of the match. Grueso Artaza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Marcó, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes of play Atlético Norte's Juan Estevan Chaparro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Antofazul FC's Raimundo Niza was substituted for Enzo Edwards. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matteo Soriano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celino Victoriano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grueso Artaza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. If Celino Victoriano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Antofazul FC booed when Atlético Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roldán Maeztu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatán Marco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matteo Soriano. Atlético Norte's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Matteo Soriano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Droste, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
