When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rafael Alarcón sped through CSD Concepción's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Richard Murillo. After 15 minutes, Lester Clavijo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Platypus F.C. and the CSD Concepción players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Lester Clavijo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabino Calvo in the 24th minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Richard Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, CSD Concepción's Richard Murillo got control of the ball when Jon-Ander Echeverría tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jose Manuel Lara lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Jose Manuel Lara hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, CSD Concepción was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Manuel Lara to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafín Jarpa in the 34th minute of play forced Platypus F.C.'s goalkeeper José Augusto Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Havier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Richard Murillo made a huge save. Platypus F.C.'s José Augusto Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damazy Warka in the 39th minute of play. Damazy Warka took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Augusto Oliveira. José Augusto Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gabino Calvo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Murillo having to interfere. José Augusto Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damazy Warka in the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Platypus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tuto Villarroel came free, but José Augusto Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Ander Echeverría, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. CSD Concepción made a substitution. Lauro Argandoña replaced Serafín Jarpa. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Guillermo Arregui with Rafael Alarcón as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 65th minute Gabino Calvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Murillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabino Calvo in the 68th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, CSD Concepción's Baltazar Clavijo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind José Augusto Oliveira. José Augusto Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Platypus F.C.'s Xaime Mac Gill was substituted for Rafael Alarcón. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Baltazar Clavijo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Platypus F.C.'s José Augusto Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Argandoña in the 83rd minute of play. Baltazar Clavijo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Ander Echeverría in the 91st minute of play forced CSD Concepción's goalkeeper Richard Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 minutes of play, CSD Concepción's Lauro Argandoña made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Augusto Oliveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! CSD Concepción's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
