In the 14th minute, Cobresal's Gregorio Quintero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Qi Guo Yue. Qi Guo Yue yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Torreoncito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremías Basabilvaso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Torreoncito's goalkeeper Qi Guo Yue had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorio Quintero. One of Torreoncito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cobresal:s goal. 29 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Enmanuel Escerza came free, but Ionuț Aluneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Torreoncito's Enmanuel Escerza to fire away a dangerous shot which Ionuț Aluneanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ionuț Aluneanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elodio Faine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Gregorio Quintero might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qi Guo Yue. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gregorio Quintero ran back to his position shaking his head. Qi Guo Yue stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Quintero's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
