The supporters of SiTomanBoy´s booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guille Aravena didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Magallanes's goal looked a bit too open when Hernán Torrejón came free, but Ksawery Witkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SiTomanBoy´s's Silvano Mercurio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Mondaca in the 30th minute of play. Magallanes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Seran Turres in the 32nd minute. The corner led Magallanes's Rito Encina to fire away a dangerous shot which Silvano Mercurio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Magallanes's Juan Mondaca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Mondaca in the 60th minute of play forced SiTomanBoy´s's goalkeeper Silvano Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Kadim Sebil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvano Mercurio was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
