Cido Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Forsman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Jaguarandi's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Dinamite came free, but Cido Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Bielejewski hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Roberto Dinamite scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cido Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaguarandi's Waldemar Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélio Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Brasilino FC's Roberto Dinamite in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Cido Coelho guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.
