After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Ramiro Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirauna's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramiro Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vítor Vasconcelos to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Retirada booed when Pirauna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Vasconcelos in the 93rd minute of play forced Pirauna's goalkeeper Conrado Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Retirada fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pirauna had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
