A wasted opportunity for Piedade FC. 8 minutes into the match, Onze Veloz's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Paes came free, but Virgílio Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enio Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Onze Veloz's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Renatinho Leite fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Renatinho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgílio Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Renatinho Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Virgílio Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Paes in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Piedade FC's Renato Paes in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Onze Veloz's goalie prevented a goal. Renatinho Leite let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 26th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Renato Paes took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Virgílio Monteiro to make any attempt to save it. Renatinho Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Monteiro having to interfere. Virgílio Monteiro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Piedade FC's Renatinho Leite. But to his dismay, Renatinho Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Xavier was the one to do the kick off. Onze Veloz's Dênis de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 53 minutes, Beto Xavier made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Piedade FC's Joel Moura tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Renatinho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Hoffmann hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Hoffmann during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Onze Veloz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. Renato Paes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Virgílio Monteiro having to make a save. Piedade FC's João Adolfo Tepedino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Onze Veloz. Onze Veloz's Virgílio Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Leite in the 66th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Piedade FC's Renatinho Leite made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Virgílio Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Onze Veloz booed when Piedade FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dalmo Lara came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Onze Veloz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Lara couldn't finish the play. Renato Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Monteiro having to interfere. After some careless play in the Onze Veloz defense, Renatinho Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Monteiro. The Onze Veloz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Monteiro should have stopped the shot. When Renatinho Leite came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Piedade FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho Leite couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Renato Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piedade FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renato Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Paes in the 93rd minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Piedade FC fully deserved thier win.
