Pedro Nogueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Arrinha were furious when Kauan Valladares was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 10th minute, one of Arrinha:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arrinha. In the 14th minute, Luiz Fabiano de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo de Almeida in the 16th minute of the match. Pedro Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th match minute, Alegrense F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luís Silveira to maneuver through the defense. If Anselmo de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Anselmo de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Nogueira was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Carlos Augusto Seco came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Alegrense F.C's Kauã Rocha. But to his dismay, Kauã Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Eugênio Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Alegrense F.C's zone, Eugênio Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Nogueira came out of the goal and Eugênio Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Arrinha getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cristóvão Mangueira hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã Rocha got free with Carlos Augusto Seco in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugênio Pitta was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Arrinha's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Rocha came free, but Carlos Augusto Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute Alegrense F.C were awarded a corner. Bruno Leal went to the cornerflag to take it. 59 minutes into the match, Alegrense F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Pitta came free, but Pedro Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kauã Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Seco having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Seco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Kauã Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegrense F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauã Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrinha. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrinha's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Seco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Eugênio Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Kauã Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alegrense F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauã Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Breno dos Santos during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alegrense F.C's Breno dos Santos got a free kick in the 95th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Alegrense F.C were victorious despite being under pressure from Arrinha for much of the match.
