The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeu Cordeiro got free with Cipriano Simão in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Amauri Tinoco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Simão was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibirama FC's Diogo Moreno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cipriano Simão. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. The supporters of vamoQvamo booed when Ibirama FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Délio Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes vamoQvamo got a freekick which was hit by Délio Lago. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dida Simão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Amauri Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The vamoQvamo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tomé Paulista hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Moreno in the 41st minute of play forced vamoQvamo's goalkeeper Cipriano Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Peixoto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Cipriano Simão made a huge save. 46 minutes into the match, Ibirama FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wladyslaw Sowa came free, but Dida Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Diogo Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diogo Moreno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
