An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Alagoano in the 24th minute of play forced Super onze alize's goalkeeper Evandro Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Itaara getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Beto de Godoi hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Atilano Rainerio in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duda Mattos saved Itaara from getting behind. Evandro Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maurinho Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Cerezo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Marco Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duda Mattos having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurinho Alagoano to make the kick off. Itaara's Duda Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Rainerio in the 51st minute of play. Evandro Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Evandro Torres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurinho Alagoano went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Super onze alize booed when Itaara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 played minutes Super onze alize got a freekick which was hit by Luis-Antonio Ochagavia. Evandro Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Alagoano in the 60th minute of play. João Carlos Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Abelardo Quintal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evandro Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernani Camargo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evandro Torres. Evandro Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 72 minutes, Tadeu Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itaara and the Super onze alize players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Itaara's Tadeu Diniz got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute of the match Hamílton Siqueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evandro Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernani Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Duda Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atilano Rainerio's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Evandro Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Alagoano in the 89th minute of play. A hard shot by Yan Vianna from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Evandro Torres's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Lino Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Itaara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
