In the 4th minute Maurinho Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Linhares struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Tito Bonanno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eretreia1. Fausto Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo de Alcântara in the 8th minute of the match. Cornelius Andrews charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornelius Andrews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Cornelius Andrews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 minutes of play, Capri FC's Ronaldão Faria made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chico de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Maurinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fausto Fonseca was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Eretreia1's Fausto Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Simão in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Carlos Augusto Eccles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fausto Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Ronaldão Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fausto Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Maurinho Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Fausto Fonseca. Eretreia1's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Christiano Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eretreia1's supporters rose to their feet, but Christiano Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tito Bonanno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurinho Cardoso to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldão Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo de Alcântara in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Fonseca saved Eretreia1 from getting behind. Ronaldão Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto Fonseca having to make a save. When Eduardo de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Capri FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Cardosos short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Fausto Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 62 minutes, Eduardo de Alcântara made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Eretreia1's Fausto Fonseca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tito Bonanno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Sanches in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Capri FC's Cornelius Andrews got a free kick in the 67th minute. Maurinho Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Fonseca having to interfere. Frederico Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Eduardo de Alcântara dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fausto Fonseca, 0-4. In the 79th minute Eduardo de Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eretreia1's goalkeeper Fausto Fonseca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The tension between the Eretreia1 and the Capri FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Augusto Eccles shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.
