After a defensive mix-up in Oliver FC's zone, Enéas Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Urbano came out of the goal and Enéas Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Enéas Bezerra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Oliver FC's Doriva Urbano got control of the ball when Enéas Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Rosaria's Cafu Barbosa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Enéas Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rosaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oliver FC the free kick. After 34 played minutes Rosaria got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Bezerra. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Custódio in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tião Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tião Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Enéas Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Custódio in the 51st minute of play forced Rosaria's goalkeeper Tião Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Oliver FC's Joel Custódio in the 56th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Tião Simões was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Rosaria through an amazing save. Oliver FC were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Rosaria's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Breno Pimenta took the corner. The corner ended in Doni Barbosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rosaria's Tião Simões did a great save. In the 67th minute, Joel Custódio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Márcio da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tião Simões had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Breno Pimenta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Tião Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Custódio's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Custódio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tião Simões. That made the score 0-1 in the 96 minute of play.
