With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Pimenta in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Torres saved Real feirense-BA from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Gerson Pimenta notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Real feirense-BA's Carlos Torres. Carlos Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerson Pimenta in the 35th minute of play forced Real feirense-BA's goalkeeper Carlos Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Giuseppe Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Márcio Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Sebastião Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerson Pimenta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Gerson Pimenta took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Carlos Torres to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Real feirense-BA's Adrianinho Fonseca got a free kick in the 58th minute. Juca's Alfredo Cruz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Torres but with some difficulty. Real feirense-BA's Carlos Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Pimenta in the 61st minute of play. Jerzy Damazki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Real feirense-BA's Márcio Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Jerzy Damazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Torres made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Giuseppe Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. Sebastião Meira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerzy Damazki's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. João Pedro Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sebastião Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Jerzy Damazki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real feirense-BA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The audience was convinced that Márcio Corrêa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastião Meira was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Real feirense-BA were furious when Reinaldo Antunes was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Juca booed when Real feirense-BA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gerson Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juca were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Real feirense-BA's much stronger midfield.
