With an all-out effort, Cláudio Tadeu FC's Luís Breckenfeld threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean Queiroz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 55 played minutes, Cláudio Tadeu FC's Luís de Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Breckenfeld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cláudio Tadeu FC reached it. 58 minutes into the match, Cláudio Tadeu FC's goalkeeper Tadeu Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldinho Neto. If Ronaldinho Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Jean Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeu Coutinho was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Ronaldinho Neto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cláudio Tadeu FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Criciuma F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
