Elano Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 85thth minute of the game Giuseppe Leal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fúria's Sebastião Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute, Diguinho Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fúria had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
