Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonel Pombal started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Leonel Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leó Polgár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Republica's Leonel Pombal got a free kick in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Red Bull da Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Castro came free, but Leó Polgár reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauã Alagoano made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Red Bull da Barra's Rodrigo de Toledo. Gonçalo Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Victor Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Pombal in the 26th minute of play forced Red Bull da Barra's goalkeeper Leó Polgár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leó Polgár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Pombal in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Red Bull da Barra's Leó Polgár got control of the ball when Dráusio Madureira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute Eriberto de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leó Polgár saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Cauã Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Dantas took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Barral. Victor Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

Victor Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. When Concetto Beattie came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Red Bull da Barra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto Beattie couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Leonel Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Leó Polgár. Red Bull da Barra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 59 minutes into the game, Eriberto de Sousa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Leó Polgár was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Republica's zone, Concetto Beattie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Barral came out of the goal and Concetto Beattie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Dantas took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Barral. Victor Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Republica's zone, Concetto Beattie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Barral came out of the goal and Concetto Beattie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as José Dantas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victor Barral. That made the score 2-3 in the 88 minute of play. In the 93rd minute Gonçalo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leó Polgár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Republica supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Red Bull da Barra's performance. The match ended with a win for Red Bull da Barra.
