Edmundo Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Albuquerque went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Délio Baptistas short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Edmundo Guerra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Délio Baptista's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Edmundo Guerra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 25 minutes into the match, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Adrianinho Prado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Délio Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmundo Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denílson Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Leo Cameno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caioca SS. Délio Baptista who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Edmundo Guerra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Délio Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Guerra having to interfere. Diego Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Guerra having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Délio Baptista made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmundo Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Edmundo Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Albuquerque in the 61st minute of the match. When Sinistro Futebol Clube's Délio Baptista in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caioca SS's goalie prevented a goal. If Adrianinho Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Guerra came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sinistro Futebol Clube's Diego Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Diego Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Caioca SS defense, Diego Albuquerque kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundo Guerra. The Caioca SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo Guerra should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Didi Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Edmundo Guerra. Caioca SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Didi Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Guerra having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Diego Albuquerque sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute Sinistro Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Arí Passos went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Arí Passos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmundo Guerra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 91 minutes into the game, Sinistro Futebol Clube's Diego Albuquerque nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. A collision led to Sinistro Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Raí Leal hit a great ball. In the 96thth minute of the game Didi Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caioca SS's Edmundo Guerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrianinho Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Edmundo Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sinistro Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
