With a left leg Ricardo Paraibano saved Igarate from getting behind. 40 minutes into the match, Frederico Munhoz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Paraibano, 1-0. 1-1 became the score in the 44th minute when Mazinho Abraão elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Vergílio to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Cisterna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Porto to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Dênis Alagoano notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Igarate's Ricardo Paraibano. Ricardo Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Igarate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Meireles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Frederico Munhoz's late challenge caught a Igarate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederico Munhoz helped the player get up and apologised. After 68 played minutes Cisterna FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Munhoz. After a rather tough play, Cisterna FC's Evaristo Meireles got a free kick in the 69th minute. Evaristo Meireles took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Paraibano. Ricardo Paraibano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 77th minute, José Carlos Antunes had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 78 minutes of play Igarate's Mazinho Abraão was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Igarate's Mazinho Abraão got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Frederico Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cisterna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederico Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Meireles in the 88th minute of play forced Igarate's goalkeeper Ricardo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Evaristo Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cisterna FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Paraibano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Cisterna FC were the better team. Cisterna FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
