The audience was convinced that Roch Trzenzalski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Maciel was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Cajubi's Zé Paulo Braga got a free kick in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hawaii Kokua F.C's Roch Trzenzalski got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Júlio Diniz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dé Maciel, 0-4. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Roch Trzenzalski sped through Cajubi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dé Maciel. In the 63rd minute, Jaime Sabóia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hawaii Kokua F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Marco Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. With a little luck, Cajubi's Dé Maciel got control of the ball when Roch Trzenzalski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Diniz got free with Dé Maciel in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roch Trzenzalski might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dé Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roch Trzenzalski ran back to his position shaking his head. The Cajubi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hawaii Kokua F.C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
