Wágner Trigo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oséias Dracena went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Kim Hellström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wágner Trigo. That made the score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. Armando Coelho's late challenge caught a Madrid Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Coelho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, VASSOURENSE's Armando Coelho got a free kick in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Madrid Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Coelho came free, but Valdemar Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, VASSOURENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Coelho to maneuver through the defense. After 69 minutes, Emílio Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Madrid Football Club and the VASSOURENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emílio Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, VASSOURENSE's José Pedro Barbosa got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 82 played minutes, Madrid Football Club's Nuno Reis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wágner Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Madrid Football Club reached it. If Oséias Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armando Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Couto having to interfere. Oséias Dracena hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the VASSOURENSE players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Madrid Football Club.
