Dudu Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute Ivo Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Zonta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Hílton Sarmento skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Amauri Dante's late challenge caught a Florianos EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Dante helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Zontas short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Hílton Sarmento to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dudu Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Amauri Dante was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. In the 27th minute, Amauri Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulysses França, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Pedro Luiz Ortiz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Dudu Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo Moraes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Yamarashi Club's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Esteves came free, but Hílton Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Florianos EC booed when Yamarashi Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Ulysses França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ivo Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Yamarashi Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Moraes couldn't finish the play. After 64 played minutes Florianos EC got a freekick which was hit by Charles Saraiva. Ivo Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Ivo Moraes made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Reis. Florianos EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Chiquinho Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Florianos EC's Charles Saraiva got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo Moraes got free with Hugo Reis in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Dudu Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ivo Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hugo Reis made a huge save. Charles Saraiva's late challenge caught a Yamarashi Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Saraiva helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Charles Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes of play, Yamarashi Club's Ivo Moraes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Florianos EC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
