The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléber Bastos during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Dobrado SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Bastos to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Daniel Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dobrado SS's zone, Daniel Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wágner Duarte came out of the goal and Daniel Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chicão Almeida to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, one of Dobrado SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ulysses de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Wágner Duarte was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lenílson Vieira. A hard shot 70 in the game by Daniel Varela from a close distance when the talented Wágner Duarte managed to make a qualified save. Dobrado SS's players were relieved. Daniel Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Wágner Duarte made a huge save. Dobrado SS's Wágner Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Dobrado SS from getting a goal against them. Daniel Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Duarte having to interfere.
