Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Valdo Pombal kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Quatiguaua FC's Fábio Lira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fábio Lira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Quatiguaua FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fábio Lira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 2nd minute, one of Quatiguaua FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quatiguaua FC. Valdo Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Pinheiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Quatiguaua FC's Alexandre Massa got a free kick in the 8th minute. Internacional Limeira's Cauan Botelho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Quatiguaua FC. Hernani Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute Vito Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adalmo Batista charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adalmo Batista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Internacional Limeira's Vito Tande got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Quatiguaua FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Júnior Eger hit a great ball. Hernani Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Quatiguaua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigiusz Kosakowski to maneuver through the defense. If Silvinho Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalmo Batista hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Internacional Limeira's Cauan Botelho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 33rd minute, Valdo Pombal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Telmo Maranhense fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vito Tande made a kick off. Vito Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Quatiguaua FC got a freekick which was hit by Remigiusz Kosakowski. In the 65th minute, one of Quatiguaua FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quatiguaua FC. Hernani Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Tande in the 71st minute of the match. Ciro Pinho's late challenge caught a Quatiguaua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Pinho hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Nando Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Quatiguaua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Tande came free, but Hernani Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Quatiguaua FC booed when Internacional Limeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quatiguaua FC's Hernani Velloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Quatiguaua FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Quatiguaua FC defense, Percival Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hernani Velloso. The Quatiguaua FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hernani Velloso should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Internacional Limeira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quatiguaua FC throughout the match.
