Tarcisio Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Lara having to interfere. AD Colegial's Marcus Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Kazimierz in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ademar Zilles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Tarcisio Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Zilles in the 59th minute of the match. Raí Teixeira struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Marcus Lara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matías Medeiros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tarcisio Fantini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcus Lara. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play. The supporters of AD Colegial booed when Pedra Pequena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Zagrodny didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Raí Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ademar Zilles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Marcus Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ademar Zilles might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ademar Zilles ran back to his position shaking his head. João Carlos Meireles hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
