Juan Bladi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Fábio Gomes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fábio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Cârju, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Cheruan SS booed when Independente Vila d Penha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Independente Vila d Penha's Rodolfo Katia got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Natanael Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Souza having to interfere. Dorin Cârju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natanael Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Fábio Gomes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorin Cârju's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Rodolfo Katia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Souza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Juan Bladi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Cheruan SS's Silas Trancoso got a free kick in the 79th minute. Fábio Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Bladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Juan Bladi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheruan SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Bladi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Independente Vila d Penha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
