Gugu Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Freire having to interfere. Tostão Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juvenal Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gugu Urbano was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Juvenal Freire managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Juncao's Gugu Urbano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Gugu Urbano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lúcio França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Mattos having to interfere. Romário Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Custódio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu Urbano in the 63rd minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cabrituba reached it. 78 minutes into the game, Lúcio França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cabrituba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juncao the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cabrituba's Lúcio França got a free kick in the 78th minute. After 80 played minutes Juncao got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Alagoano. Cabrituba's Juvenal Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Cabrituba from getting a goal against them. Juncao's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cabrituba had won, even though Juncao had held more of the ball.
