Gerson Secco came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Boa Esporte Clube's Doriva de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Doriva de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva de Alcântara in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Secco saved Quimera V.T from getting behind. The Boa Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Boa Esporte Clube's Doriva de Alcântara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Doriva de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerson Secco was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Gerson Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Paulista in the 18th minute of play. David Lago hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Quimera V.T were awarded a corner. Cafu Fonseca went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Cafu Fonseca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Boa Esporte Clube's Lino Zonta did a great save. David Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cafu Fonseca's late challenge caught a Boa Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Quimera V.T got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Fonseca. Gerson Secco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva de Alcântara's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Boa Esporte Clube's Doriva de Alcântara in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quimera V.T's goalie prevented a goal. Thomás Prestes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Quimera V.T:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Boa Esporte Clube:s goal. The referee gave Boa Esporte Clube a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Aílton Paulista, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quimera V.T's Gerson Secco. 0-3. After the first half Boa Esporte Clube were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Doriva de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Augusto Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Quimera V.T booed when Boa Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Cafu Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lino Zonta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Doriva de Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerson Secco. That made the score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. A hard shot 68 in the game by Doriva de Alcântara from a close distance when the talented Gerson Secco managed to make a qualified save. Quimera V.T's players were relieved. When Mateus Favoretto came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Quimera V.T fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateus Favoretto couldn't finish the play. Doriva de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gerson Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aníbal Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho de Medeiros in the 81st minute of play forced Boa Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Lino Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quimera V.T's Gerson Secco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Quimera V.T from getting a goal against them. Cafu Fonseca hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes, Doriva de Alcântara made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Quimera V.T's Gerson Secco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano da Silva in the 93rd minute of play forced Quimera V.T's goalkeeper Gerson Secco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Elano da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Gerson Secco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Quimera V.T fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Boa Esporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
