Doriva de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko de Moraes's late challenge caught a Boa Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kiko de Moraes helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Padua Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kiko de Moraes. In the 18th minute, Aílton Paulista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boa Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Doriva de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Aílton Paulista notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Padua Futebol Clube's Nuno Marquez. The penalty shot was made by Aílton Paulista, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Padua Futebol Clube's Nuno Marquez. 4-0. If Aílton Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Boa Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. José Vítor Leite hit a great ball. Angelo Brasil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Boa Esporte Clube booed when Padua Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doriva de Alcântara in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Marquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva de Alcântara in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arí Donatello made a kick off. Arí Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Doriva de Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Marquez. Padua Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doriva de Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 61st match minute, Boa Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva de Alcântara in the 66th minute of play. Frank Abreu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doriva de Alcântara in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Marquez saved Padua Futebol Clube from getting behind. Elano da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Marquez having to interfere. Aílton Paulista struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Nuno Marquez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boa Esporte Clube. Doriva de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Marquez having to interfere. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Doriva de Alcântara sped through Padua Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nuno Marquez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Paulista in the 82nd minute of play forced Padua Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Nuno Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto Paranaense in the 84th minute of the match. Doriva de Alcântara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Boa Esporte Clube's Carlos Augusto Antunes got a free kick in the 88th minute. Lino Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Arí Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elano da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
