Igor Henrique sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Camerino charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 39 minutes into the match, Rene Camerino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Hoffmann, 2-0. Grêmio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Camerino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
