Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Douglas Nunes scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elias Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Erasmo Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto do Valle having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Saloa SS's Ernesto Carvalho got a free kick in the 9th minute. Fausto do Valle made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Humberto Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. Vivaldo do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Nunes in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauan Marquez in the 16th minute of play forced Mares's goalkeeper Vivaldo do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Mané de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Nunes in the 29th minute of play forced Mares's goalkeeper Vivaldo do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Mares's Luís Donato seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Luís Donato the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mares protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Luís Donato had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute, one of Mares:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mares. In the 46th play minute Zeca Marques came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fausto do Valle. 2-3. After the first half Saloa SS were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Nunes made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Mares's Mané de Carvalho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Cauan Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Nunes in the 54th minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Douglas Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saloa SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Nunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vivaldo do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Vivaldo do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Novaes in the 61st minute of the match. When Erasmo Linares came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Mares fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Linares couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Novaes during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erasmo Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Fausto do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Mares was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Humberto Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Douglas Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saloa SS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Mares's much stronger midfield.
