Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Pageu's Jairo Coutinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Elias Paraense came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Pageu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Paraense couldn't finish the play. After 17 minutes, Elias Paraense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pageu and the Canaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elias Paraense hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Jairo Coutinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Pageu getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Elias Paraense hit a great ball. After 27 minutes, Diogo Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pageu and the Canaan players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Pageu got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Vinhas. In the 30th minute Enio Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Canaan booed when Pageu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Jairo Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canaan's Valdir Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdir Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho de Queirós in the 40th minute of the match. Pageu were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Canaan's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Guilherme Negri took the corner. Pageu's Luiz Guilherme Negri was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valdir Queirós in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enio Rosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elivélton Couto hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jorginho de Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Valdir Queirós made a huge save. In the 61st minute Jairo Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enio Rosa went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute of the game Luiz Guilherme Negri made a throw-in which Jairo Lucas played forward. Pageu's Gilberto Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Rosa in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Chico Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canaan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorginho de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Valdir Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, José Vítor Barreto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canaan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pageu the free kick. After 74 played minutes Canaan got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Barreto. Enio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gilberto Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garcia having to interfere. Enio Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pageu's Gilberto Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Porto in the 86th minute of play. Jairo Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Queirós having to interfere. Gilberto Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Ramos in the 94th minute of play. The referee gave Canaan a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Walmir Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pageu's Gilberto Garcia. 3-0.
