In the 4th minute of the match Dário Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vânderson Costa skillfully saved the ball. Vânderson Costa came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by AC Poker's Jaime de Lara. But to his dismay, Jaime de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Manoel Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Trancoso in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Ramos in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vânderson Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Ramos in the 14th minute of play forced Timbahuba EC's goalkeeper Vânderson Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of AC Poker booed when Timbahuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Costa having to interfere. AC Poker's Haroldo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Vânderson Costa made a huge save. In the 23rd match minute, AC Poker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Jaime de Lara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vânderson Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. When AC Poker's Jaime de Lara in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Timbahuba EC's goalie prevented a goal. If Haroldo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute of the match Ismael Braga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vânderson Costa skillfully saved the ball. AC Poker's Jaime de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Haroldo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the AC Poker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Ramos couldn't finish the play. If Jaime de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, AC Poker's Haroldo Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vânderson Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Jaime de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Vânderson Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Haroldo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime de Lara in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vânderson Costa saved Timbahuba EC from getting behind. Vânderson Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Timbahuba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Ramos came free, but Vânderson Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Costa having to interfere. In the 77th minute Jaime de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vânderson Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Ramos in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Timbahuba EC's zone, Jaime de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vânderson Costa came out of the goal and Jaime de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jaime de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the AC Poker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime de Lara couldn't finish the play. AC Poker's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timbahuba EC the free kick. Jaime de Lara struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Vânderson Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Poker. Osvaldinho Antunes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. AC Poker's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
