Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Baltazar Gonçalves kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovânio de Barros during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Caarapo SS's Geovânio de Barros got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Geovânio de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Hugo Damião made a huge save. In the 6th minute Baltazar Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bahia SS's zone, Baltazar Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Damião came out of the goal and Baltazar Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Gonçalves in the 17th minute of play forced Bahia SS's goalkeeper Hugo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st match minute, Caarapo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Gustavo Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Bahia SS's Claudinho Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bahia SS's Vitinho Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baltazar Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Damião having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Trigo in the 34th minute of play forced Bahia SS's goalkeeper Hugo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bahia SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caarapo SS the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Caarapo SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Motta to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitinho Vianna was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Baltazar Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caarapo SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio de Barros in the 55th minute of play. When Geovânio de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Caarapo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio de Barros couldn't finish the play. Caarapo SS's Arlindo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Vianna in the 60th minute of play. When Geovânio de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Caarapo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio de Barros couldn't finish the play. If Geovânio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Bahia SS's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Gonçalves came free, but Hugo Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovânio de Barros took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Damião. Hugo Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Geovânio de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Damião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Henrique Severo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Arlindo Urbano skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Baltazar Gonçalves took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Damião. Hugo Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Severino Motta hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Baltazar Gonçalves took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Damião. When the referee ended the match the Caarapo SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
