After 45th play minutes Adriano Lara shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Duarte Monteiro and just under the crossbar into goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Haroldo Ignado might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvinho Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Ignado ran back to his position shaking his head. Haroldo Ignado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Monteiro having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Yuri Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fresno de Pelotas FC's Haroldo Ignado got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Arantes hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Rony Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fresno de Pelotas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Duarte Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvinho Monteiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Fresno de Pelotas FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Eugênio Quirino hit a great ball. Ipua's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 90th minute of the game, when Eriberto Cabral after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Fresno de Pelotas FC's goal. Eriberto Cabral was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Silvinho Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Messias in the 93rd minute of the match. Yuri Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvinho Monteiro having to interfere. Fresno de Pelotas FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ipua to leave the ground with a draw.
