Isaltino Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olívio da Mata went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Campidelis in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Rosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Otávio Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Jabora's João Carlos Nogueira got a free kick in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Flávio Campidelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Augusto Rosa was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With a little luck, Rosario's João Augusto Rosa got control of the ball when João Pedro Soares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario's zone, João Pedro Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Rosa came out of the goal and João Pedro Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Robinho Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario's protests and gave Robinho Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes Rosario got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Gomes. If João Pedro Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Otávio Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. João Pedro Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. The supporters of Rosario booed when Jabora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Gilberto Branco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jabora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosario the free kick. After 74 played minutes Jabora got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Branco. When Jabora's Flávio Campidelis in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosario's goalie prevented a goal. Jabora's Flávio Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
