Aloísio Massa scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nildo Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, João Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute, Juvenal Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Romário Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furquim's supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute João Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Furquim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Brasil to maneuver through the defense. After 21 minutes, Aloísio Massa made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Furquim's Nildo Vides tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Paraibano in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Vides saved Furquim from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Aloísio Massa put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Nildo Vides. Ian Chaves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After the first half Strutz FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Strutz FC's Ezequiel Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Dionísio in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute Aloísio Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, João Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Aloísio Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strutz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aloísio Massa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dé Saraiva hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Furquim! Nildo Vides had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Hernani Prata's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 65 played minutes Furquim got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Maciel. Aloísio Massa's late challenge caught a Furquim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aloísio Massa helped the player get up and apologised. Ian Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ezequiel Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Massa in the 77th minute of play forced Furquim's goalkeeper Nildo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nildo Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 84 played minutes Strutz FC got a freekick which was hit by João Paraibano. 86 minutes into the game, one of Strutz FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th minute, João Paraibano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Strutz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Strutz FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
