Cruzeiro F.C's Zézinho Pirani managed to work through Grossas's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Zézinho Pirani dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 72nd minute Zézinho Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Cruzeiro F.C's Zézinho Pirani made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percy Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 79 minutes, Illja Kyrylenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzeiro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Illja Kyrylenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martins Mirande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from César Seco went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Cruzeiro F.C walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
