Alex de Senna struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fabiano Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraquedistas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldão Motta in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Seco saved Bananal from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Paraquedistas's goalkeeper Simão Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Araújo. After having played for 20 minutes, Tomás Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bananal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Vargas having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Ronaldão Motta made a precise shot to the right of Fabiano Seco. Bananal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Bananal's zone, Ronaldão Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Seco came out of the goal and Ronaldão Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Vander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Vargas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Bananal's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldão Motta came free, but Fabiano Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Peres during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paraquedistas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Fernandinho Peres hit a great ball. Bananal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernardo Quintal in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldão Motta to make the kick off. Simão Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Tomás Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Araújo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Simão Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Simão Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4-1 became the score in the 69th minute when Tomás Vander elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Bananal fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Bananal's Tomás Vander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Tomás Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Motta struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Fabiano Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraquedistas. After 96 minutes, Dida Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bananal and the Paraquedistas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Bananal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Neiva to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Raí Varela in the 97th minute really tested Fabiano Seco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bananal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paraquedistas for a fine match.
