Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vicente Vale made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Jaime Ramalho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lino Vergílio. The goal made the score 1-0. Luiz Eduardo de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Vale in the 6th minute of play. Moisés Lopez hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Pedrinho Toscano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mariante's Luiz Eduardo de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Mariante fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Mariante's Nico Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Bebeto Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VimdeMarte's protests and gave Bebeto Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Cristian Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Mariante's Cristian Monteiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lino Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After a rather tough play, VimdeMarte's Tiago Carioca got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Cristian Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Lino Vergílio made a huge save. Pedrinho Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nico Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Vergílio having to interfere. In the 41st minute, VimdeMarte's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cristian Monteiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Mariante's Nico Perez got a free kick in the 44th minute. Nico Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Vergílio having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Perez made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cristian Monteiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Jaime Ramalho hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Cristian Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Luiz Eduardo de Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes in the game, Cristian Monteiro dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Perez in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lino Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nico Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute Cristian Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, VimdeMarte's Hernani Seco got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Mariante's Pedrão Proença tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to VimdeMarte getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Edmundo de Queirós hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute of the match Pedrão Proença shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lino Vergílio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nico Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mariante had played much better football throughout.
