53 minutes into the match, huntersFC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Cearense came free, but Eliseu Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bruninho Viana fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored huntersFC's protests and gave Bruninho Viana a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Marco da Mata got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 89th minute, Luisão Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Severo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Itaja EC's Cléberson Koehler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Itaja EC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Itaja EC's Adolfo Severo got a free kick in the 94th minute.
