Calçados's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otávio Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronny Solberg in the 17th managed to get into a good position. In the 20th minute Ronny Solberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Otávio Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erick Lie in the 25th minute of play. Diamantino Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paranatama getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. João Carlos Lago hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes A. C. Calçados got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Saldanha. João Carlos Lago took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Vale. A. C. Calçados's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Ronny Solberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Otávio Borges. Paranatama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronny Solberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35thth minute of the game Ronny Solberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paranatama's Otávio Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 42nd minute, Eliézer Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A. C. Calçados fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Fernando Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Leme was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ronny Solberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Otávio Borges. The goal made the score 0-4. Luizão Valladares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Otávio Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Frank Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Fernando Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Frank Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, A. C. Calçados's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Bittencourt came free, but Fernando Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as A. C. Calçados's Ronny Solberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Otávio Borges. That made the score 1-5 after 81 minutes of play. 85 minutes into the match, Paranatama's goalkeeper Otávio Borges had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erick Lie. After 91 played minutes, A. C. Calçados's Norberto Alvarenga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Otávio Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A. C. Calçados reached it. With a little luck, Paranatama's Otávio Borges got control of the ball when Eliézer Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. A. C. Calçados's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
