Gomalina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SobralFC the free kick. Hélio Jacinto hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Pelayo Taules managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SobralFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelayo Taules was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélio Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Madureira in the 28th minute of play forced SobralFC's goalkeeper Beto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafa Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Baptista having to interfere. Juan Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Beto Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Meireles in the 37th minute of play forced Gomalina's goalkeeper Hernani Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Gomalina's goal looked a bit too open when Pelayo Taules came free, but Hernani Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Brito in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernani Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beto Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Pelayo Taules blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernani Azevedo having to make a save. After having played for 44 minutes, Pelayo Taules managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SobralFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelayo Taules was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Hernani Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelayo Taules in the 54th minute of the match. SobralFC's Beto Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Jacinto in the 55th minute of play. Pelayo Taules sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A throw-in in the 59th minute of the game was made by Paulinho Quirino with Reginaldo Azevedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. But to his dismay, Pelayo Taules quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Válbson Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Madureira in the 73rd minute of play. Hernani Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Rafa Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gomalina's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafa Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Baptista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Rafa Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 81 minutes, Rafa Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gomalina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafa Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gomalina's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Válbson Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SobralFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válbson Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donatello de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hernani Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SobralFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
