Luís Eduardo Brittos short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Alessandro Braga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luís Eduardo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alessandro Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Inácio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Caarapo SC's Inácio Matorin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedé Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 46th minute, AVALANCHE BEAT's Douglas Fonseca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Matorin was the one to do the kick off. Luís Eduardo Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Braga having to interfere. Inácio Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, AVALANCHE BEAT's Válbson Saldanha got a free kick in the 57th minute. Inácio Matorin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Caarapo SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 60 minutes, Válbson Saldanha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AVALANCHE BEAT and the Caarapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Inácio Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caarapo SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedé Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inácio Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Mendes having to interfere. Alessandro Braga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Marquinhos Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Róbson Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVALANCHE BEAT's protests and gave Róbson Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. Luís Eduardo Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
