After a defensive mix-up in Apuarema Junior's zone, Wellington Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agostinho Castro came out of the goal and Wellington Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th match minute, Apuarema Junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basílio Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Sandrinho Quintal rounded Apuarema Junior's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Mauro Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Barracas F C's Agostinho Castro threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mauro Aguiar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Agostinho Castro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wellington Soares in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes, Barracas F C's Mauro Aguiar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agostinho Castro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barracas F C reached it. When Apuarema Junior's Basílio Teixeira in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barracas F C's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Teixeira in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Fonseca saved Barracas F C from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Paulo Couto took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Agostinho Castro to make any attempt to save it. Agostinho Castro made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Doni Pires sent off a good shot on target. Nelson Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Doni Pires had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agostinho Castro. Apuarema Junior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doni Pires was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 40 minutes into the game, Doni Pires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barracas F C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apuarema Junior the free kick. Sidnei Couto's late challenge caught a Barracas F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Couto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Barracas F C booed when Apuarema Junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Apuarema Junior getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Basílio Teixeira hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Zé Paulo Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Pires got free with Agostinho Castro in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Doni Pires made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Aguiar in the 52nd minute of play forced Apuarema Junior's goalkeeper Agostinho Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 54 in the game by Basílio Teixeira from a close distance when the talented Alexandre Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Barracas F C's players were relieved. 61 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Quintal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Apuarema Junior's Agostinho Castro. Agostinho Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Chicoine in the 67th minute of play forced Apuarema Junior's goalkeeper Agostinho Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th match minute, Barracas F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Soares to maneuver through the defense. Basílio Teixeiras short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Alexandre Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The throw-in from Caetano Queiroz in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Apuarema Junior's Oséas Lago. Agostinho Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Barracas F C's Alexandre Fonseca got control of the ball when Nelson Tande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Apuarema Junior's Léo Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Teixeira in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexandre Fonseca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basílio Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Agostinho Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Aguiar went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Nelson Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Apuarema Junior's Nelson Tande got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Barracas F C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
