After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ernesto da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cunhaporanga's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni Vasconcelos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Cunhaporanga booed when Operário Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leopoldo Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago França in the 22nd minute of the match.
