Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Breno Mangueira made the kick off which started today's match. Quintinos SC's Edinho Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Madureira in the 3rd minute of play. Curitibanos AD were furious when Washington Cordeiro was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. André Paulista scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edinho Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulisses de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Júlio Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Silvinho Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edinho Paraense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ulisses de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Curitibanos AD's zone, Breno Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Peixoto came out of the goal and Breno Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th match minute, Quintinos SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Paraense to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Curitibanos AD getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dário Trigo hit a great ball. Júlio Pombal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glauco Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Breno Mangueira scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Glauco Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Curitibanos AD booed when Quintinos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otávio Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Quintinos SC's Júlio Pombal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glauco Peixoto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ulisses de Amaral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Edinho Paraense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Curitibanos AD getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Silvinho Guedes hit a great ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Júlio Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quintinos SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute Breno Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Pombal might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Peixoto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júlio Pombal ran back to his position shaking his head. Glauco Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Mangueira in the 96th minute of the match.
