Spectators: 6660 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Fernando da Fonseca started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Luís Fernando da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sapecada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Espumoso SC's Elias de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias de Godoi saved Espumoso SC from getting behind. If Júlio Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fernando da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Elias de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugo Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Hermes having to interfere. If Dito Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fernando da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Elias de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sapecada's Eusébio Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Pinheiro in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Marcel Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Sapecada's Júlio Tavares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elias de Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Sapecada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri de Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Marcel Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusébio Hermes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luís Fernando da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Espumoso SC's Elias de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Sapecada getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jean Meira hit a great ball. Espumoso SC's Teodoro Paraibano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Eusébio Hermes but with some difficulty. Júlio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Elias de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Tavares in the 79th minute of play forced Espumoso SC's goalkeeper Elias de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Espumoso SC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando da Fonseca came free, but Elias de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dito Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Hugo Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espumoso SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Hermes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elias de Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando da Fonseca in the 92nd minute of the match. Dito Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eusébio Hermes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Sapecada supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Espumoso SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Espumoso SC.
