C's Yenal Şaki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Alcântara in the 3rd minute of play. Yenal Şaki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lenílson Britto in the 4th minute. Marcelo Cearense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Váldson Negri's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Seropedica's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Lilja came free, but Marcelo Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marc Lilja struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Marcelo Cearense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mangalot A. C. Marc Lilja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Seropedica booed when Mangalot A. C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Marc Lilja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Váldson Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Cearense having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Váldson Negri in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 30 minutes, Américo Abreu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seropedica and the Mangalot A. C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Seropedica's Américo Abreu got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Mangalot A. C's Váldson Negri in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seropedica's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute Váldson Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Váldson Negri in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Cearense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

A collision led to Mangalot A. C getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Marcos Coutinho hit a great ball. Tony Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Yenal Şaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Cearense came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Mangalot A. C's Marcos Coutinho. But to his dismay, Marcos Coutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marc Lilja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Váldson Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Cearense having to make a save. Tony Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Yenal Şaki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marc Lilja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Lilja, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After a rather tough play, Mangalot A. C's Francisco Linhares got a free kick in the 74th minute. Marc Lilja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marcelo Cearense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Váldson Negri got free with Marcelo Cearense in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes Seropedica got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Branco. Caco Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Mangalot A. C's Váldson Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Cearense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marc Lilja showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 94 minute of play. Mangalot A. C played a much better game than Seropedica and deserved their victory. The Seropedica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
